Our history of sterile preparations
-
Inauguration and Early Years
2004 to 2011- Established in the heart of downtown on St-Jean Street, our laboratory opened its doors in the pharmacy with the vision of providing simple, turnkey solutions for the manufacture of non-hazardous and hazardous sterile preparations.
- Despite limited space, our team's dedication to services
personalized and customer service has earned us the trust and
loyalty of dispensing pharmacies. - Faced with growing demand, we recognized the need to expand, which resulted in our move to a larger location in the technology park on rue De Celles in 2011
-
Expansion in the Technology Park
2011 to 2024- The move to the technology park allowed us to take advantage of an infrastructure including three clean rooms, including one for hazardous products and one for allergens, as well as modern amenities to improve our services.
- With increased square footage and state-of-the-art facilities, we have expanded our offerings, including specialized medication management programs, ATIVADs, as well as private and public clinics.
- Our presence in the technology park positions us directly alongside drug wholesalers, thus opening up several shipping methods for sterile preparations. We serve not only local pharmacies, but also those in all regions.
-
Future Growth and Expansion
2024-Future- By anticipating the evolving needs of our community, we are embarking on a transformative new journey of growth and expansion.
- Our upcoming move to the Jean-Perrin Street facility, a new location, symbolizes our commitment to increased innovation and service excellence.
- The new facility will feature larger, state-of-the-art clean rooms for advanced preparations, as well as expanded services and collaboration spaces for interdisciplinary initiatives.
- By fostering partnership with non-sterile compounding pharmacies and adopting cutting-edge technologies, we aim to redefine how we support pharmacies.
- Through strategic planning and unwavering dedication to our mission, we are prepared to continue our legacy of excellence and community service for years to come.
Our non-sterile masterful history
-
A century-old company
1922 to 2018- Since 1922, three generations of Boissinot pharmacists have succeeded one another, sharing the same passion for galenics.
- In 2014, Denis Boissinot carried out a first expansion in order to meet the growing needs of traditional pharmacies and hospital centers in the greater Quebec region.
-
Expansion and specialization
2018 to 2022- In 2018, Mr. Boissinot decided to further expand production capacities, with the aim of optimizing infrastructure and preparation space for staff. Over time, the members of this team became pioneers in the field of non-sterile compounding, and Mr. Boissinot even contributed to the creation of several formulations in collaboration with medical colleagues.
-
Passing the torch
2022 to 2024- In 2022, Mr. Boissinot chose to pass the baton to another family of pharmacists, by selling his community pharmacy and his specialty pharmacy to the Lavoie family.
- In June 2024, propelled by his Pharmaplus distribution network and the Horizon Santé group, Mr. Lavoie seized the opportunity and decided to move the non-sterile pharmaceutical department to rue Jean Pellerin to merge with the pharmacy specializing in sterile preparations. This ambitious action will make it possible to optimize the premises while pooling the talents of the two teams.
